Artist2Artist and UBCP/ACTRA are pleased to present this showcase created to identify UBCP/ACTRA members who are new and emerging performers in our membership, as well as those from equity seeking groups. To enter the showcase, THIS SPECIAL SHOWCASE IS ONLY OPEN TO FULL, APPRENTICE AND BACKGROUND MEMBERS OF UBCP/ACTRA (BC BRANCH).

How The Showcase Works:

Each participating performer will submit a 2-3 minute scene – (no monologues please).
Requirements:

– Your scene should be shot just like a regular self-tape.
– Please slate at the end of the scene.
– Your scene must be a Vimeo link or Google Drive sharable link for you to register.
– Please use the following naming convention for the file: “Your name – UBCP – November 2023”

These scenes will be evaluated by our panel of industry professionals and each performer will receive written feedback from at least 2 panel members. These evaluations will be used to build a list of the top performers overall.

The top 43 performers will get to meet with one casting director that they need to see most. (The higher your evaluation, the more likely you will meet your first choice). While each of these performers will only be meeting with one casting director, the top 50 submissions will also be sent to EVERY casting director for their viewing.

These meetings will be a one-on-one zoom session with the casting director. Depending on
the casting director, you may be asked to audition the same scene you used for your
submission, audition a new piece, or they may want to connect with you about your submission
and get to know you. The meetings will take place after the showcase and be based on the
casting director’s availability.
