Artist2Artist and ACTRA Toronto are pleased to present this showcase designed to help facilitate a gateway into the Toronto animation voiceover industry and provide constructive feedback that raises the collective calibre of our membership. We have the generous support of 10 of the busiest voiceover casting directors in the industry who are donating their time to give one-on-one meetings with the top 90 performers in the showcase!
How the showcase works :
• Each performer will submit a 1 – 1.5min mp3 file audio sample of 2-3 animation voices to the showcase. The scripts are of the actors choosing and should come from previously aired animated productions. Bring your own interpretation, no imitations. One of these voices should be in your natural speaking voice (with energy). The others can show more of your zany range.
• Each submission will receive 2 written reviews from our panel of voiceover professionals (see these names below).
• The top 90 performers will have a one-on-one meeting/audition with a voiceover casting director of thier choice. The higher you place in the showcase, the more likely you will meet with your first choice.
• If you are currently looking for a voice agent, you can opt in to have your submission sent to every voice agent in the city. The top 20 submissions looking for an agent will be sent.after the showcase.
• This voiceover showcase will be open for submissions July 1st to July 31st and is open to members 18 yrs and older.
• There are only 250 spots available.
• ACTRA Toronto will contribute $25.00 of the $45 showcase fee for each ACTRA Toronto member participant so that the subsidized cost of the showcase to ACTRA Toronto members is only $20. You will need a valid code from A2A before you can submit to the showcase. If you need a code and are a memeber of Actra Toronto, you can get one here.
• Once you have your code, head to your “Profile Page” and follow the link there to complete your registration. You will need the MP3 file link ready to secure your spot in the showcase.
