The showcase will open April 1st and will end at midnight on April 30th or when 250 submissions have been reached (whichever comes first). All actors will receive a minimum of 2 reviews from members of the panel (3 if they get into the top 50). All feedback will be given to all the actors, and the results will be delivered a maximum of 3 weeks after the close of the showcase. Go to the “Getting Started” page to learn more.
– Each casting director will be sent ALL the top 20 submissions.
– If you make it into the top 10, you will choose which casting director you want to
meet with individually.
– The top 20 actors looking for agents will have their submission sent to every agent in the city
in which you live.

Optional Coaching from the Panel:
One of the most requested features we’ve had is now coming to A2A. When you submit your scene you will be asked if you would like to have a one-on-one zoom coaching session with a panel member of your choice.
You will be able to between a 30min coaching session for $40, or a full hour session for $75.
How you choose to use this coaching is completely up to you.
– Choose to ask questions about the feedback you got in the showcase.
– Record a new version of the submission scene and find out how you integrated the notes you got
from the panel into your performance.
– Use the time to shoot another scene or audition with the coach.
It is really up to you.
Submission Guidelines:
– Pick one scene that tells a good story with an arc for your character showing your range. (no
monologues please)
– Scenes should be between 2-3 mins in length, max.
– Scenes should be framed as a medium to medium close up (head and mid chest).
Please do not leave too much head room (the space between the top of your head and the top
of frame should be minimal). Eye-lines should be slightly off camera, to your reader.
Have your reader positioned off camera just to the left or right of the lens.
– No cuts except for the slate at the end. Slate just your name and city you work out of.

Recent credits include Superman and Lois, Dead Boy Detectives, The Good Doctor, Riverdale, Supergirl, DC Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Arrow, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, The Crossing, Falling Skies, The Twilight Saga and When We Rise to name just a few. Emmy nominated and winners of several casting awards, these are two of the busiest in the business.

After over a decade working as an actor in film, tv and theatre, Jesse switched his focus to behind the camera. Learning the trade from some of Toronto’s finest casting directors, he opened Jesse Griffiths Casting (JGC) with the goal of combining his passion for the arts and knowledge of local talent. His focus is, and will always be, to push for more inclusion and diversity in the casting process and to nurture the next generation of artists. Jesse is a graduate of Ryerson Theatre School with a BFA in Theatre Performance.

Montreal born Actor, Dean has been honing his craft for over 30 years in every medium this industry would let him. Best known for his recurring roles in Davinci’s Inquest and Stargate Atlantis, he has also had the privilege of recurring on Davinci’s City Hall, Intelligence, The 100, The Magicians and Superman and Lois playing the newly minted editor of the Daily Planet, Sam Foswell. Look for Dean in the upcoming Netflix series Sex/Life reccurring as Professor Sumner. Dean is a proud father of two rambunctious boys and is a laser eyed, diamond handed Hodler of Bitcoin. He encourages all to get on the lifeboat!
Melanie Nicholls-King is a Canadian/American actress with Trini roots, best known for playing Cheryl in the HBO series, The Wire; Officer Noelle Williams in the ABC series, Rookie Blue and recently, Hazel LaCroix, in the beloved Netflix series, Anne with an E. She can also be seen in three of the series in the Law & Order franchise, Orphan Black, The Week Of with Adam Sandler and Chris Rock, Star Trek: Discovery and Little Fires Everywhere to name a few. Upcoming, she can be seen in Showtime’s Your Honor with Bryan Cranston.
A leading man and versatile character actor, has starred in films like X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Steal This Movie! He’s had TV performances in the Stargate Universe, Fear the Walking Dead, Bates Motel and Caprica.
Panou is also currently running an acting studio called The Space Acting Studio in North Langley BC, where he coaches working actors and runs audition taping for casting directors and actors. Look for Panou in an upcoming Indie feature film called Night of Deception which he stars in and is an Executive Producer.

Cara McDowell has been training actors and researching the acting process for 30 years. She started acting herself, in Toronto, while completing her BFA in Performance at Ryerson University. She has directed various plays and short films, produced and also written a solo piece for the UNO Festival in Victoria. She has an intuitive sense and unique perspective of what grows an actor. She is constantly developing ways to support and inspire Creatives and Actors alike. Most recently, she is finishing certification as a Professional Co-Active Coach and will be launching a private practice in 2022.
Based in Vancouver, Geoff Gustafson has been featured in numerous commercial campaigns including Busch Beer, BMO, Volkswagen, Weisers and Visa. Geoff has played Norman Dorman on Hallmark’s Signed Sealed Delivered for the past 8 years. His work has garnered him three Leo nominations. He most recently appeared in “The 27 Hour Day” along side Autumn Reeser and Andrew Walker for Hallmark. Gustafson had a recurring arc on “Rogue” as well as “Once Upon a Time” and has guest starred on episodes of “Emily Owens M.D.,” “Psych,” “Package Deal” and “Bates Motel.” In addition, Gustafson worked as a series regular on “Primeval: New World” for SyFy. When not onset Geoff is an acting instructor and is responsible for developing curriculum and managing the full time acting programs at Vancouver Acting School as the Director of Performing Arts.
Allegra Fulton is an award winning actor and director whose distinguished career on stage
and screen has taken her across Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Her work on stage has included
leading roles at The Stratford Festival and Shaw Festival as well as most major theatres across the
country. On screen Ms. Fulton has appeared in over 75 films and television series, including
Guillermo Del Toro’s Oscar winning THE SHAPE OF WATER, Cronenberg’s MAPS TO THE
STARS, STRANGE BUT TRUE directed by Rowan Athale, as well as recurring and supporting
roles in many TV series, SCHITT’S CREEK, SUITS, FARGO, CARDINAL, 19-2, TITANS,
SUPERMAN & LOIS, KIM’S CONVENIENCE, WORKIN’ MOMS, among many others. Look for

Amos Crawley has been a professional actor since he was 4 years old. He has dozens of film, television and VO credits and has performed on stages across Canada as well as in New York and London. He has been an instructor and audition coach since 2010, teaching several age groups and levels.
Brooke Palsson is an actor, writer, musician, and graduate of Norman Jewison’s prestigious Canadian Film Centre (Actors Conservatory 2013-2014). The Winnipeg native moved to Toronto to further pursue her film/tv career after her Canadian Comedy Award-winning role in HBO hit series, “Less Than Kind”.Known internationally for her work as leading roles in both the aforementioned “LTK” and Netflix series “Between”, Brooke has recently added her Juno nominated album “Midnight” to her growing list of accomplishments. TV Credits include “Flashpoint”, “Saving Hope”, “Todd and the Book of Pure Evil”, “Orphan Black”, “Rookie Blue”, and “Lost & Found Music Studios”.
Her film credits include “Molly Maxwell”, “Keyhole” and “The Colossal Failure of the Modern Relationship”.
With another album underway, as well as her series “DUST” in development, Palsson continues to carve out a niche spot for herself in the entertainment industry.
Born in Jamaica, with Spanish, European and Aboriginal heritage, Karen feels privileged to have grown up in the Metropolitan city of Toronto but Vancouver is now home to Karen.With a long list of film, television and theater credits, Karen has made a name for herself as a triple threat in the entertainment industry. With over 100 acting credits her film credits include Tortured (alongside Laurence Fishburne), Donovan’s Echo, Hollow Man 2, MOW Trust and her starring role on APTN and the Showcase original series Cashing In. Karen is also proud of her recent holiday movie role as Riley in Christmas on Hollylane.
Karen’s other television series, recurring and supporting roles, include A&E’s # 1 rated show Flight 93, Fringe, Showtime’s Out Of Time, JPOD, Arrow, Lucifer, The Crossing, Da Vinci’s Inquest, and Frances Ford Coppola’s First Wave, and a lead role as Lisa Dolittle in 20th Century Fox’s Dr. Dolittle 4 – Top Dog and Dr. Dolittle 5 – Going Hollywood and a recurring role on Sacred Lies just to name a few. Her guest star appearances include Smallville, Fighting The Odds, Twilight Zone, Dead Zone, and Frances Ford Coppola’s Firstwave. In feature films, she has a role in Big Fat Liar 2 and one of Karen’s highlights was shooting a lead role in Alliance Atlantis’s Riverworld in New Zealand. Kurt has appeared in over 100 film and television roles over the years including reoccurring roles in iZOMBIE, SUPERNATURAL, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, ROGUE, LEVEL UP, SANCTUARY and EXE’S and OH’s and has been nominated for a LEO for Best Male Guest star twice for his work in MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE and TIES THAT BIND. Kurt has also appeared on stage across western Canada and is a voice actor, writer, director and teacher. It is a highlight of his career to bring Artist2Artist to life!
